Boys Junior Varsity Wrestling, Boys Varsity Wrestling · Wrestling Team Competes at Peachtree Ridge Tournament Finishes 4th


The Varsity Wrestling Team traveled to Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee last Saturday and came away with a 4th Place placement. The Hornets competed in 4 matches finishing 2-2 defeating the Lions from Peachtree Ridge and Riverside Miltiary Academy from Gainesville. Hornets lost to Wesleyan from Norcross 37-36 and SE Whitfield from Dalton 42-34.
The Hornets will be hosting Duluth, Cherokee and Lassiter this Wednesday Dec. 6 at the J.Tom Zachary Gymnasium beginning at 6pm.

Multiple Teams · Boys & Girls Basketball Teams Sweep Forsyth Central Bulldogs


On Tuesday November 28 the Hornets traveled to Cumming, Ga. to take on the Forsyth Central Bulldogs from Region 5AAAAAAA in a Non-Region Contest. Both the Boys and Girls team came away with wins. The Boys game was a 1pt. to 4pt. contest the entire game with the Hornets pulling away 46-41 for the victory at the end. The Lady Hornets dominated in a 13 point win vs. the Lady Bulldogs by a score of 57-44.
The Hornets Next play at HOME on Saturday December 2 vs. Region 3AAAAAAA Kennesaw Mountain in another Non- Region contest. The Girls play at 1pm and the Boys tip off at 2:30pm.

The Varsity Wrestling Team will be hosting it’s first HOME Match of the 2017-18 season this Wednesday November 29. Match times begin at 6pm.

Multiple Teams · Roswell Rotary Honor Air Tournament a Huge Success


The Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball Teams had a successful Thanksgiving Tournament helping to raise @ $7,000 for the Roswell Rotary Club’s Honor Air Program which provides free air travel to Washington D.C. in May for WWII, Korean and Vietnam Veterans to visit their respective War Memorials.
The Girls finished 1-2 in the Tournament with a win over Kipp Atlanta and the Boys were 1-1 defeating West Ashley, S.C. and losing to Tournament Champion Gray Collegiate Academy, S.C.
Both the Boys and Girls Varsity will be back in action on Tuesday November 28 AT Forsyth Central High School in Cumming, Ga. Game times are 6pm/7:30pm.

Boys Junior Varsity Wrestling, Boys Varsity Wrestling · HORNET WRESTLERS OPEN SEASON at COLLINS HILL INVITATIONAL


On Satuarday November 18, Head Coach Billy Bradach and the Varsity and JV Wrestlers opened their 2017-18 season by attending the Collins Hill High School Invitational in Suwanee,Ga. Individual Placers for the Hornets were Dawason Winters 2nd Place at 113 Pounds; David Cartier 2nd Place at 132 pounds; Steven Copeland 4th place at 145 pounds; Calvin Barton 3rd Place at 160 pounds and Kent Donaldson 3rd Place at 225 pounds. There was no team scoring at this Invitational.
The Varisty Wrestling Team’s next Match is Wednesday November 29 vs. South Gwinnett and Marist at HOME starting at 6pm. The JV Wrestling Team travels to Brookwood High School for the Brookwood Scramble on Tuesday November 21.

Hornets News · Girls Swim Team Defeats Woodward Academy/ Boys Team Falls Short


The Varsity Girls and Boys Swim/Dive Teams traveled to College Park last Thursday to compete vs. Woodward Academy in their second Swim/Dive Meet of the Season. The Girls won 183-122 while the Boys came up short 197-115.
Evan Childress placed 1st in the Dive competition and qualified for State. State Qualifiers for Relay Teams for Roswell were:

The NCAA provides National Letter of Intent Dates for Prospective Student-Athletes Enrolling in the 2018-19 School Year. The Week of November 8 thru November 15, 2017 is when All Athletes may sign their NLI except for Football players.
Roswell High School’s Athletic Department conducted a 2017 Signing Day Ceremony in the Media Center for 7 Roswell High School Student-Athletes. Parents, Coaches, Dr. Shaw, team mates and classmates participated in the announcements and photo opportunities.

Multiple Teams · Roswell Rotary Honor Air Invitational Basketball Tournament Nov. 18-21


The Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball Teams will be hosting the 1st Annual Roswell Rotary Honor Air Thanksgiving Tournament at the J.Tom Zachary gym beginning Saturday November 18 thru Tuesday November 21, 2017. The Tournament will feature 8 games a day (4 Boys/4 Girls) beginning at 10:00am. Ticket Prices are $10.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Students and are valid for all 8 games each day. There is a Tournament Pass for $25.00.
All proceeds will go to fund the Roswell Rotary Club’s Honor Air Program for airline ticket purchases for World War II veterans, Korean War Veterans and Vietnam Veterans to attend their respective War Memorials in Washington D.C. each Spring. This program is entirely funded by private and corporate donations.
Teams participating in the Tournament are Pebblebrook, Blessed Trinity, Locust Grove, Alpharetta, Chapel Hill, Kipp Atlanta, Westminister, Gray Collegiate Academy, SC & West Ashley, SC.
The Lady Hornets will tip off Saturday November 18 at 5:30pm vs. Kipp Atlanta. The Boys have a Bye for Saturday.

Multiple Teams · Boys Basketball Wins Opening Game vs. South Forsyth 66-51/Girls Rally Comes Up Short 71-62


The Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball Teams opened up their 2017-18 Season vs. the South Forsyth War Eagles Tuesday night at the J.Tom Zachary Gym. The Girls had an outstanding offensive night for Coach Wade however they couldn’t get the key stops on Defense we needed. The Boys Team jumped out to an early lead and led by 20 points or more for most of the game. Overall the Hornets took an important step forward as they await the Roswell Rotary Honor Air Tournament beginning on Saturday November 18 at the J.Tom Zachary Gym.
