Multiple Teams · Roswell Athletics update: Capacity for sporting events and fan requirements.

Get excited as Roswell Athletics are returning soon and we hope that you will be as well! Our athletes have been working tirelessly to be able to perform on the playing field at the level that our teams and athletes in the past have established and we are looking forward to being able to showcase our talent. Obviously, with the restrictions of Covid 19 there are going to be some changes for our fans, and we want to fill you in one what our sports are going to look like from a spectator perspective.

Fulton County is allowing our fall sports to be at 30% capacity with the hopes of increasing this size as our numbers continue to trend in the right direction. Due to these restrictions we have had to change a few things

Changes:

Tickets: All tickets will be online via GoFan. (link will be provided via athletics website and Roswell High School website) We will not be handling any cash at the gates for any of our events so if you want to get in, you need to go online and purchase a ticket.

  • Football Friday nights: /Check our website to see if the game is sold out. Please do not expect to show up at the gate that night and expect to buy a ticket.
  • Gate will accept GHSA pass and Fulton County ID (admits only 1 person). We will not give free tickets to teacher ID’s outside of Fulton County

Sell Outs: Game will sell out, especially our football games. Due to limited capacity the online sales will go quickly. Outlines/rational for our ticket sales are below.

Facility Outline and Ticket Policy

Stadium-Football

  • Max capacity based on the 30% for Ray Manus Stadium is 822.
  • Visiting Team: Set ticket limits are established for our visitors. They will have the ability to purchase these tickets from Monday at 8:00am-Thursday at 7:00pm. Any tickets that they do not purchase in the allotment will then roll over to our general admission tickets. Links are sent to the visiting schools to distribute to their parents and fans.
  • Home Team: We will offer tickets to our football, band, and cheer families first via a GoFan link. The Families will have from Monday at 8:00am –Thursday at 7:00pm to purchase their tickets before the remainder of the allotment is rolled over into our general admission. These tickets will only be purchased for immediate family and school aged children. This is not a link to purchase friends’ tickets.
  • Student Tickets: We will begin with a set allotment of tickets for students at Roswell High School. They will be given a link by their teachers to go on and purchase tickets until they are sold out.

Gymnasium-Volleyball

  • We have a set total capacity for the Gymnasium for 315 tickets.
  • Tickets will be sold on GoFan and once we reach that limit the site will close and the venue will be sold out.

Softball Field

  • We have a set total capacity for the softball field of 150 tickets.
  • Tickets will be sold on GoFan and once we reach that limit the site will close and the venue will be sold out.

Fan Requirements

  • Temp Check- prior to validating tickets
  • Masks are required
  • Social distancing. Sitting every other row, in family units. If not family then distance needs to happen. Administration will be enforcing this.
  • We will have ushers in the stands assisting with this
  • Your children MUST always stay with you (does not include high school aged kids in student sections).
  • Clear bag policy is still in effect.
  • Children will not be allowed to run around the stands and surrounding areas. All children must remain with the adult they came with.
  • Softball- lawn chairs are encouraged to spread out along fence and backstop. Distancing in the stands is encouraged.

Other Viewing Options

  • All games played in the stadium and in the gymnasium will be streamed live via the NFHS network. You do need a subscription for this. We will post links on our athletics site and Roswell website to help you link up.

We wish that we could have our stadiums packed right now but this is not an option. There will be frustrations, there may be some disagreements over policies but ultimately if we want to have our athletes out on the field of play for the entire season, we need to put these differences aside and come together to enjoy/celebrate our student athletes.

Thank you and we are excited about getting back in action and seeing everyone rocking the Green and Black!

 Go Hornets!
