Roswell is taking their perfect 14 and 0 record to the Georgia Dome on Saturday December 12 at 8pm vs. Colquitt County for the 2015 State AAAAAA Football Championship. The Colquitt County Packers located in Moultrie, Ga. also bring a perfect 14 and 0 record this season into the Championship game.  This is the first meeting ever between Roswell and Colquitt County in Football.  Colquitt is the defending State Champs from 2014 and are a seasoned playoff team having reached the Semi-Finals seven straight years. Both Colquitt and Roswell are Region Champions from Region 1 and Region 5 respectively.  Roswell and Colquitt have two common opponents in Lowndes County and Camden County.  Colquitt defeated Lowndes 42-20 and Camden County 33-14.  Roswell defeated Lowndes 35 – 8 and Camden County 34-15.  Colquitt County has been playing football since 1913.  Prior to 1978 the name of the school was Moultrie High School with former University of Georgia Head Coach Ray Goff one of it’s notable alums.  Since 1978, Colquitt County has won 2 State Championships in 1994 and 2014 along with 6 Region Titles. Roswell’s first season was in 1950 and the Hornets have won 3 State Championships in 1968, 1970 and 2006 along with 10 Region Titles.

Game time is scheduled for 8pm at the Georgia Dome on Saturday December 12, 2015.  The Game will be televised statewide live on GPB-TV.
