Homecoming 2017 vs. Walton on Friday/ “Fest in the Nest” on Saturday

Homecoming is set for Friday October 13 with a 7:30PM Kickoff scheduled with Region 4AAAAAAA Rival Walton at Ray Manus Stadium. Walton comes in undefeated at 6-0 with victories over N. Gwinnett, Brookwood, Dacula, Wheeler, Pope and Cherokee and a Region Record of 1-0. The Hornets also have a Region Record of 1-0. The Raiders from Marietta are averaging 40pts a game with a potent offensive combination of QB Austin Kirksey and WR Dominque Blaylock a University of Georgia commit.

The Hornets are coming off a thrilling 37 point offensive burst over Lassiter in their third overtime of the 2017 season. The Hornets Offensive Rushing Combination of QB Cordell Littlejohn and RB Kamonty Jett will provide a sharp contrast to the Raiders Offensive scheme.

The Hornets and Raiders will be tangling for the 30th time with the overall record 15-14 in Walton’s favor. In their last 5 meetings, the Hornets have prevailed with a 4-1 record losing to the Raiders four season ago in Coach Ford’s first season as Head Coach in 2013.

On Saturday October 14 at 8pm the Student Council will be sponsoring the Homecoming Dance and other festivities outdoors on the “Pete Poulos Practice Field.” The first ever outdoor “Fest in the Nest” will end at 11pm.
